- USE FACILITIES AT YOUR OWN RISK, USER ASSUMES ALL LIABILITY FOR ALL RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVITIES IN THIS AREA.
- NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. WHITEWATER IS INHERENTLY DANGEROUS AND INEXPERIENCED USERS SHOULD SEEK PROPER TRAINING BEFORE ENTERING THE WATER.
- CONDITIONS CAN CHANGE QUICKLY, MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND DURING FLOODING.
- DISPOSE OF ALL TRASH PROPERLY.
- PARK CLOSED SUNSET TO SUNRISE.
- NO ALCOHOL OR GLASS AT THE PARK AT ANY TIME.
- DIAL 911 FOR EMERGENCIES.
Stay Informed About Water Quality
The City of Norfolk does not conduct water quality testing in the river, but you can find the latest updates on current water conditions for Nebraska rivers through the Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy (NDEE) website: https://dee.nebraska.gov/water
Please note: Swimming and wading are not permitted in the whitewater park, as it is an active watercraft area. This helps keep everyone safe and ensures the space is used appropriately for tubing, surfing, kayaking and other paddle sports.
